SIT Students Visit HLC

Students of the School for International Training (SIT) visited the Humanitarian Law Centre (HLC) on September 30th, 2014. The students attend various universities in the United States, and they will be staying in Serbia for 15 weeks within the SIT study programme at the Peace Center for Comparative Studies of Conflict at the Faculty of Media and Communication.

Marijana Toma from the HLC presented the students with information about all previous efforts in the implementation of measures for transitional justice in Serbia, as well as the contribution of the HLC to the process of dealing with the past and establishing reconciliation in the region. The students were interested in the implementation of mechanisms of transitional justice in Serbia, and in particular in the problems faced by victims in their reparation claims.
