Non-governmental Organizations Call upon Serbian Parliament to Declare 11 July a Day of Commemoration of the Srebrenica Genocide
Human rights organizations call upon the Parliament of Serbia to support the European Parliament Resolution on declaring 11 July a day of commemoration of the Srebrenica genocide and thereby show respect for, and acknowledge, the victims of the most serious crime of all crimes and initiate a process of a joint effort to build memory, which would include all victims of war crimes committed on the territory of the former Yugoslavia.
Non-governmental organizations take this opportunity to remind the authorities and public in Serbia of the obligation to take responsibility for atrocities committed in the past and show the determination to build a democratic state based on the rule of law and respect for human rights.
