Students from Kosovo Visit HLC

A group of law students from Kosovo visited the Humanitarian Law Center (HLC) on Tuesday, September 24^th, 2013. They came to Belgrade for the purpose of attending testimonies in the Ćuška/Qyshk trial before the Higher Court in Belgrade War Crimes Department.

Katarina Janković delivered a presentation to the students regarding the work of the HLC, while Milica Kostić spoke about dossiers of war crimes. Marina Kljajić, a victims’ legal representative, also attended the meeting. Nataša Kandić, the regional coordinator for RECOM, spoke about her experiences during her stay in Kosovo in 1999. The students were particularly interested in hearing how the public in Serbia reacts to the crimes committed in Kosovo and about the cooperation of the HLC with the ICTY.
