HLC files charges of war crimes in the camps Sljivovica and Mitrovo Polje

#IzSudnice - Sajt - 4To the Serbian Office of the Prosecutor for War Crimes, the Humanitarian Law Center (HLC) filed charges against more than 50 members of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Serbia (MUP), the Serbian State Security (DB), and the Yugoslav Army (VJ) for the war crimes against the prisoners of war. The crimes were committed in the period between end of July 1995 and April 10, 1996 against more than 850 Muslims from Zepa and the surrounding villages in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in POW camps of the Republic of Serbia Sljivovica (Cajetina Municipality) and Mitrovo Polje (Aleksandrovac Municipality).

#IzSudnice - Sajt  - 4On August 23, 2010 the Humanitarian Law Center filed with the Office of the War Crimes Prosecutor of the Republic of Serbia a criminal complaint against an unidentified number of members of the former Yugoslav Army (VJ), members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia (MUP Serbia), and members of criminal groups operating under the control of VJ and MUP Serbia for their responsibility for for war crimes committed against Albanians in the villages of Plavljane/Pavlan, Zahać/Zahaq, and other surrounding villages and settlements in the Peć/Pejë municipality during 1998 and 1999.

#IzSudnice - Sajt  - 4On May 28, 2010 Humanitarian Law Center (HLC) filed a compensation lawsuit with the Office of the War Crimes Prosecutor of the Republic of Serbia against 34 individuals on charges of their personal responsibility for the murder of 90 and the wounding of over 150 Albanian prisoners in the KPZ Dubrava penitentiary, near Istok in Kosovo (hereinafter referred to as: KPZ Dubrava).

HLC files criminal complaint against Božidar Delić and 10 members of the Yugoslav Army and Serbian Ministry of Interior for committing war crimes

#IzSudnice - Sajt - 4After careful consideration of available evidence about the murder of several dozens of Kosovo Albanians (42 victims have been identified so far) on March 25, 1999 in Trnje/Ternje village, Suva Reka municipality, the Humanitarian Law Center (HLC) has cause to believe that Božidar Delić, a retired major-general and another 10 persons, mostly members of the 549th motorized brigade of the Yugoslav Army (YA) under his command and a number of members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia (MUP Serbia) acted in accordance with a preconceived plan and agreement and committed these murders thus becoming criminally responsible for committing a war crime against the civilian population from Article 142, paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (KZ SRJ), in connection with Article 22 of the KZ SRJ as co-perpetrators, while some of them are charged as instigators according to Article 23 of the KZ SRJ and accomplices according to Article 24, paragraph 2 of the KZ SRJ.

Criminal charges against unidentified members of the Užički Corps

#IzSudnice - Sajt - 4The Humanitarian Law Center (HLC) filed criminal charges at the Office of the District Prosecutor in Užice related to an armed attack on the Muslim village of Kukurovići in the Priboj municipality conducted by unidentified members of the Užički Corps, a division of the Yugoslav Army. The attack happened on February 18 and April 11 of 1993. On that occasion three civilians were killed and the property of the majority of the population of the village completely destroyed.
