More than 30,000 people killed, 2 million people expelled

Omer Karabeg (Radio Free Europe): We are talking with Nataša Kandić of the Belgrade Humanitarian Law Centre and Vesna Teršelić of the Zagreb NGO the Documenta Centre for Dealing with the Past. In September last year, activists of the RECOM Initiative sent the presidents of all the states in the territory of the former Yugoslavia RECOM postcards asking them to launch an official procedure for setting up a Regional Commission for establishing the facts about the war crimes. What was the presidents’ reaction?

Youth Reconciliation Ambassadors visiting HLC

A group of participants in the Youth Reconciliation Ambassadors program organizhed by the Youth Education Committee from Belgrade visited the Huanitarian Law Center on Tuesday, December 25th, 2012. Students from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, and Serbia, who use this study trip to discuss problems and challenges that their societies face in the post-conflict time period.

Students From Preševo, Bujanovac and Priština Visit HLC

Students from Preševo, Bujanovac, and Priština visited the Humanitarian Law Center on Friday, December 21st, 2012. These students attend the Young Leaders Schoolorganized by the Youth Initiative for Human Rights. During the study trip to Belgrade, these young individuals had an opportunity to learn more about the wok of civil society organizations, institutions, cultural centres, and the media.
