Financial compensation for torture in OUP Prijepolje in 1994

In a decision handed down by the First Municipal Court in Belgrade, the Republic of Serbia (RS) is ordered to pay 1,690 000 RSD to Himzo Kamberović and Kasim Hajdarević in compensation for torture committed against them by members of the Ministry of the Interior (MUP) of the Republic of Serbia in February 1994. The Humanitarian Law Center (HLC) filed a compensation lawsuit on their behalf on November 22, 2005.

Compensation lawsuits against Serbia for human rights abuses committed in the past

Within the scope of its program offering support to victims of human rights abuses committed in the past in exercising their right to reparation, the Humanitarian Law Center (HLC) filed two compensation lawsuits against the Republic of Serbia (RS) at the First Municipal Court on behalf of Sabit Bibić from Sjenica who was tortured by Sjenica Internal Affairs Department (OUP) police officers in December 1993, and on behalf of Fehrat Suljić, a Bosniak who was abused by OUP Tutin police officers in February 1996.

Compensation lawsuit against the Republic of Serbia for torture in Sandžak in 2002

On May 28, 2007 the Humanitarian Law Center (HLC) filed a compensation lawsuit against the Republic of Serbia at the First Municipal Court in Belgrade on behalf of Murat Pepić from Tutin who was beaten by three members of the Department of Internal Affairs (OUP) Tutin in January 2002.
