On this day, in the camp at the “Livade” estate in the village of Stajićevo near Zrenjanin, formed by the JNA, members of Croatian forces and civilians were detained following the fall of Vukovar. In addition to Stajićevo, prisoners were taken to camps in Sremska Mitrovica, Aleksinac, and Niš, to the Military Investigative Prison in Belgrade, and to the camp in Begejci. All camps, except Niš which was under the responsibility of the 3rd Military District of the JNA, were under the jurisdiction of the 1st Military District of the JNA.
