Sotin

Between the second half of October and the end of December 1991, members of the militia and Territorial Defense from Sotin, acting under the then Yugoslav People’s Army (JNA), killed 16 Croatian civilians in Sotin near Vukovar. Dragan Mitrović and Žarko Milošević were convicted for this crime before the Higher Court in Belgrade, while Dragan Lončar, Mirko Opačić, and Miroslav Milinković were acquitted. The remains of 13 killed civilians were found in a mass grave near Sotin in April 2013.
