A collection of themed documents titled “Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Time of the Breakup of the Former Yugoslavia” was published by the Humanitarian Law Center and the Institute for Contemporary History.
Belgrade, March 28, 2011 – The Humanitarian Law Center made arrangements for law students from the University in Priština to visit Belgrade. During their stay in Belgrade they are monitoring the war crime trial of individuals charged with crimes committed in the Ćuška village in 1999 held before the War Crimes Trial Department of the High Court in Belgrade.
The Draft RECOM Statute was adopted at a majority vote of the delegates of the fourth General Assembly of the Coalition for RECOM held in Belgrade on March 26, 2011. This ended a long lasting debate on the Draft RECOM Statute conducted that included many different communities of post-Yugoslav societies and the Draft RECOM Statute became the official Proposed RECOM Statute which will be submitted for adoption by parliaments of the states in the region.
On March 28, 1999, during the NATO bombing of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, a reserve unit of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Serbia (MUP Serbia) known as “Scorpions” killed 14 members of Bogujevci and Duriqi families in an operation of ethnic cleansing of Albanians from Podujevo.
On March 25 and 26, 1999 members of Serbian armed forces killed 114 Albanian men in the village of Mala Kruša/Krushë e Vogël, Prizren municipality, Kosovo.
Six students from Priština visited the Humanitarian Law Center (HLC) in Belgrade where they were informed about the Initiative for the Creation of a Regional Commission Tasked with Establishing the Facts About War Crimes and Other Serious Human Rights Violations Committed on the Territory of the Former SFRY in the period from 1991-2001 (RECOM) and the “Kosovo Memory Book” project.

The War Crimes Trial Chamber of the High Court in Belgrade sentenced Čeda Budisavljević, Mirko Malinović, Milan Bogunović, and Bogdan Gruičić to 12 years in prison each for war crimes committed against the civilian population in October 1991 in Lički Osik, Croatia. The Office of the Attorney General of the Republic of Croatia transferred this case to the Office of the War Crimes Prosecutor of the Republic of Serbia based on the Agreement on Cooperation in Prosecuting War Crimes Perpetrators.

BEOGRAD – Ko preživi masakr, isto je kao i da je umro. Slike streljanja u dvorištu kuće, vrisak, psovke, rafali… toplina krvi, tišina, strah… sve je to živo i nikad neće umreti u dušama Sarande i Jahone Bogujevci, dvoje od petoro preživele dece, sada odraslih devojaka, iz grupe u Podujevu koju su 28. marta 1999. godine streljali “Škorpioni”.
