On this day, the Serbian Radical Party held a pre-election rally in Hrtkovci attended by more than a thousand people, where Vojislav Šešelj called for the expulsion of the local Croatian population. By August 1992, about 450 Croatian and ethnically mixed families had left Hrtkovci.
