The documentation of the suffering and disappearance of citizens of Serbia and Montenegro during the wars in Slovenia, Croatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina was conducted from 2009 to 2012. Researchers from the Humanitarian Law Center interviewed 716 witnesses and family members and analyzed 7,041 documents related to victims, war crimes, and military operations. Based on the analysis of collected statements and documents, 1,930 deceased and missing citizens of Serbia and Montenegro were identified by name. The aim of the research is to create a nominal list of victims that will serve as a credible record of human losses during the wars in the former Yugoslavia.
