On the night of March 24, 1999, in Kraljevo and Mataruška Banja, all stores owned by local Albanians were demolished. Fearing open physical threats, they fled their homes. According to data held by the Humanitarian Law Center (FHP), no comprehensive investigation was ever conducted regarding these events, including the murder of Behram Gigolaj and the beating of his son.
