“Does Serbia Give Up on European Integration?” Roundtable

BELGRADE, October 11^th, 2011 – The Humanitarian Law Center and the Independent Journalists’ Association of Vojvodina organized a roundtable on October 11th titled “Does Serbia Give Up on European Integration?”.

The event gathered intellectuals, human rights activists, and professors. The aim of the roundtable was to trigger a debate on the sincerity of Serbian politicians, who advocate for Serbia to join EU, on judicial reform and other reforms, and clarification of events in the north of Kosovo.

As a conclusion of the debate, a petition titled “Call for Rebellion Against Revision of the Past”, which warns the public that Serbian political elite is turning away from the EU integration, was initiated.
