Humanitarian Law Center Annual Report 2006

The Humanitarian Law Center (HLC) is actively helping countries formed on the territory of the former Yugoslavia establish the rule of law and accept the legacy of their past marked by mass human rights abuses committed during armed conflicts on their territories, in order to prevent the recurrence of such crimes, establish the criminal responsibility of perpetrators, and serve justice.

Bulletin: Former JNA members in War Crime Investigation

On Wednesday 30 May 2007, the Belgrade War Crime Chamber brought a decision to conduct a criminal investigation after questioning 12 persons suspected of war crimes in Lovas, eastern Croatia, in 1991. All twelve suspects were taken into custody.

Compensation lawsuit against the Republic of Serbia for torture in Sandžak in 2002

On May 28, 2007 the Humanitarian Law Center (HLC) filed a compensation lawsuit against the Republic of Serbia at the First Municipal Court in Belgrade on behalf of Murat Pepić from Tutin who was beaten by three members of the Department of Internal Affairs (OUP) Tutin in January 2002.
